Getting started

Choose how you want to begin

SaysMee works with an email and password, Google, Microsoft, or a temporary guest session. Signing in is recommended when you want conversations, projects, files, preferences, and memories to remain available later.

• Email — create an account, confirm your address, and sign in.
• Google or Microsoft — use the provider buttons on the login or signup page.
• Guest — choose Use as guest for a quick session without cloud history.

Complete the optional onboarding

The resumable onboarding flow asks what you want to accomplish, how detailed and direct responses should be, and which first action would be most useful. Every step can be skipped, changed later in Settings, or resumed after an interruption.

• Use cases — choose the kinds of work you expect to do without locking the account to one mode.
• Response preferences — set an initial length and communication style.
• Optional context — add only details you want SaysMee to use.
• Memory transfer — paste an export from another assistant, review each suggested memory, and save only the items you approve.
• First action — continue into chat, upload a file, create a project, or explore learning tools.

Education onboarding is separate and optional. Students can add subjects and choose whether to connect a parent. Parent access begins only after a valid student invite is accepted. Educator insights use privacy-thresholded community patterns and do not ask for a school or class.

Start your first conversation

1. Open a new chat. Select New chat in the sidebar or press Ctrl/Cmd + N.
2. Write naturally. Ask a question, request a plan, paste unfinished work, or describe what you are trying to understand.
3. Add context when useful. Use the plus menu to attach a file or image, or drag a supported file onto the composer.
4. Choose the mode. SaysMee can search the web automatically when freshness matters. Turn on Research deeply when you want a broader, source-led investigation.
5. Continue in the same thread. Follow-up questions remain in the current conversation even when the topic changes.

Understand the composer

• Plus menu — attach files and images, open Library, and enable deep research.
• Model selector — choose the available SaysMee model from inside the input bar.
• Voice — dictate a message when browser microphone support is available.
• Send or stop — submit your prompt, then stop generation at any time.

Long answers stream as they are generated. If a model reaches its response limit, SaysMee shows a continuation action so you can resume instead of losing the completed portion.

Know where things live

• Conversations — searchable chat threads in the collapsible sidebar.
• Library — uploaded images and documents that you can preview, organize, reopen, or attach to chat.
• Projects — persistent workspaces with their own instructions, files, and separate conversation threads.
• Learn & plan — study tools, workload planning, deadlines, sessions, and education privacy controls.
• Settings — conversation behavior, notifications, appearance, privacy, memory, data export, and shortcuts.

Memory and temporary chat

When memory is enabled, SaysMee can reuse useful preferences and personal context in later conversations. You can inspect and clear saved memory from your profile or Privacy & data settings.
